In the past six months, more than 20 articles have been written about Rutendo Matinyarare and his case against Innscor’s smuggling of illegal GMOs containing cancer-causing chemicals.
Of those articles, 12 were written by Bulawayo 24, 8 by News Day, 3 by Independent, 3 by the Zimbabwe Mail, and 4 by the Herald in support of Grain Millers. The authors were predominantly Mandla Ndlovu, George Tshuma, Lisa Ncube, and the so-called "staff writer."
The articles are generally biased, false, misleading, or omit critical facts to conceal Innscor’s crimes. For instance, when the government condemned the illegal importation of GMOs for human consumption or when it began tightening laws against GMOs and gene editing to protect Zimbabwean health on June 24, 2024 -based on my lab tests and articles exposing the fact that Innscor is importing GMOs with toxic chemicals that pose a threat to our people- these papers wrote nothing on these developments.
This means that 95% of the biased and misleading anti-Rutendo articles in my fight against Innscor have been written by Ndebele-owned Alpha Media (owned by alleged George Soros-sponsored Trevor Ncube) and predominantly Ndebele journalists in a country where Ndebeles constitute only 18% of the population.
This clearly constitutes selective tribal bias and media houses' complicity with Innscor's crimes, especially when considering that the Zim government is currently tightening GMO and gene editing laws to protect Zimbabwean health and the environment.
It’s clear from this that the government and National Biotech Authority have been convinced by my assertion that the illegal GMOs containing glyphosate, that are being imported into Zimbabwe by Innscor and others, constitute a threat to Zimbabwean health and environment.
Just last week, the same Alpha Media that is owned by our proverbial Lobengula [Trevor Ncube] had to apologize to the President after writing a false article claiming that the President does not intend to step down.
If these newspapers are interested in the public interest of Zimbabweans, why wouldn't they publish my lab tests that prove Innscor's products contain toxic chemicals that are a danger to Zimbabweans? Or the fact that Innscor has been feeding people illegal GMOs containing cancer causing chemicals that are not labeled as mandated by National Biotech Authority regulations? Or the fact that the Grain Millers Association, in its own papers in the Zimbabwe High Court, confirmed that Innscor and its other members are importing GMOs to feed people?
Why don’t they publish the fact that amendments to GMO laws are being made by the National Biotech Authority pursuant to my articles, lab tests, and facts exposing Innscor's illegal smuggling of GMOs?
Moreover, why would they lie that I have been jailed when my sentence was suspended by the South African High Court and the ruling did not prove how any of my articles defamed Innscor, hence we are appealing the decision.
The media in Zimbabwe clearly looks like it is being paid to turn a blind eye on lawbreakers like Innscor. Moreover, the fact that Innscor's former mining chairman, Steinford Moyo, was also a board member of Alpha Media until he fortuitously passed away, betrays a conflict of interest.
Not only is this case exposing a conflict of interest with Alpha Media, but one senses that a minority has taken sides with Innscor, irrespective of their crimes upon Zimbabweans, because they feel that the majority who are at risk from these toxic foods are not their (Trevor Ncube's) people.
It's Lobengula selling Zimbabweans all over again. I am not surprised anyway because Lobengula's father, Mzilikazi, signed the Potgieter Agreement in 1856, where he pledged to serve the Boers by being their Kaff!r king who would fight wars and conquer land for them.
