Is this our wealth or is it still the endowment of the colonialist and we are just caretakers?

In less than 70yrs, black entrepreneurs have risen from the obscurity of slavery to being wealthy billionaires. A lot of them much richer than generational colonial capitalists and slave owners.

Many Africans have ascended to enter the top 0.01% of the European elite within just 20yrs. Yet Europe itself in the past 700yrs of having black citizens has failed to produce just one African billionaire.

The question is where would we be in the absence of slavery and colonialism and the wealth of people like Jaja Of Opobo, Nyatsime Mutota, Changamire Dombo, Moshoeshoe and the li like being passed down to their heirs and not stolen?

Nevertheless, having put that point across, the questions arises as to what we have done with all this combine wealth on the continent? Have we achieved food security, reinvested into industrialization or are we merely using this wealth to advance neo-colonialism?

Is this our wealth or is it still the endowment of the colonialist and we are just caretakers?
